According to the website the scales are boxwood.

indeed,there is a lot of history behind Nontron name..

It is boxwood,they are using trees from area,dried for at least five years,pyrographed details are some ancient markings of forgotten meaning.

It is very well build knife,with good ''walk and talk '' ,shaving sharp from a bag ;-)
