In all my years of knife collecting, I"m not sure that I've really had much experience with the "tear drop" pattern. Shown here is a Queen Cutlery/Schatt & Morgan version. Here are some quick thoughts on this particular "tear drop":

* Love the shape of the knife. It fits very "naturally" in the hand and is very easy to control.

* This is a double-bladed model (one large, one small). I like the main blade shape a lot. The swedge...the spear point...just the way that it looks and works. People often shy away from spear point blades...but I can tell you that when they are this small, they work exceptionally well for EDC tasks.

* The quality on this knife is "very good", but I wouldn't rate it as "excellent". Granted, I got this little buddy for a very nice price...so my expectations, frankly, have been more than "met". Still, S&M is supposed to be the "high end" of Queen's product mix. Candidly, aside from "more polish", there isn't a lot here to separate it from the main Queen Cutlery knives. That said, I must admit that I love that this knife comes with a half-stop. If I had my druthers, all slip joint knives would come with half-stops.
