I have a particular affinity for the somewhat smaller, single-bladed slimline Trapper design.

The Great Eastern Cutlery/Tidioute Cutlery version shown in this photo is prime example.

* The barn red handle scales are flawlessly executed. Note that the shield on the handle scale is pinned. Now that's a hallmark sign of quality (albeit a subtle one).

* I really like GEC's high carbon steel blades.

* The bolsters, liners, backsprings and blade are perfectly polished.

The single-bladed Trapper design is particularly elegant, simple and yet very functional. As a light-duty EDC tool, this knife is a real pleasure to own!
