Featured Comment by Charles Sample on August 22, 2015 at 9:37: Jeff, I am sure that it was made before the ones that companies are making now. My grandmother got the knife in 1904. It was made by Germania Cutlery Works in Germany. From what I have read I believe the company operated into the 1920's.

I am just guessing but I think the handle is probably some sort of celluloid. Disregarding the bail, the knife is 1 3/4 inches closed.
