I was actually in the process of seeking out a Civivi Praxis with an uncoated blade when I saw this one being clearanced out at a price I just could not refuse (obviously). I'm not usually into Damascus-style blades, but this one just looked really good, especially with those purple handle scales!

I don't know if this is a true Damascus steel, especially at the sub-$100 price point, but the Praxis was one of my first Civivi purchases -- & now I have several of them (5, as memory serves).  It's a big knife, with a leaf-style blade that's an incredible blend of strong & slicey, & a solidly ergonomic handle that makes it both carry-able & comfortable in use.  And it's one of the more fidgety knives in my collection, with several options for opening (flipper, thumb stud, thumb on blade roll-out, & drop-snap).  I'd highly recommend the Civivi Praxis to anyone who wants a large, decently hard-use folder that's fun to open.  And most versions are under $70.

I am not usually into purple... anything... but I do like the Damascus.
