@Steve Hanner: Thanks alot! :) I abused that poor thing for many, many years, and just couldn't kill it. Incredible work knife.

@Ron: Criminal Code of Canada pretty much takes care of the knife laws here. No restriction on length or dual edges...just CANNOT be carried for defensive purposes. That will get your knife taken away really quickly. We are the same with concealed knives as well, if it's not a pocket folder, concealed equals illegal. Balisongs, gravity knives, push daggers and anything with knuckle dusters (encompassing the hand with steel or spikes) and I guess spiked wristbands are about the only no-no's. Thankfully, the laws are nation wide. However, if your local officer doesn't know the laws, you may encounter troubles. I have the Criminal Code knife laws bookmarked on my phone, just in case. :)

Down here, in So Cal, the laws governing fixed blades require that it always be in plain sight. If you put an article of clothing on that in any way covers the knife, and you're stopped and it's discovered, it's automatically considered a concealed weapon.

Heck, the laws governing folding knives is different from one town to the next depending on their Municipal Code. In my town 3" or greater on a folding knife is illegal. If I go one mile to the west I'm in Pasadena where their Muni Code says 5" or greater. Less than a mile to the south or east and I'm in Arcadia where there is no restriction in regard to the blade length. They adhere to the state's code which is no restriction to length as long as you are not carrying it in your pocket in an open position. Regardless of where you carry a folding knife in Cali it cannot be carried in an open position in a concealed manner. The laws are really very fuzzy, actually. Funny thing is that all of the police in my town know me and know that I collect knives. I live in a very small town despite being so close to Los Angeles. We don't have any traffic signals in my town -- not even one!

Cheers, my friend! Love your knives!

Nice that a legitimate reason did not get you any grief!  Very Nice dagger!

Never gave the nice policeman any attitude, which helped, and had a legitimate reason to carry it. Yes, both edges are sharpened. Always wore my baby in plain sight as well. This did a hell of a job for me both in kitchens and a plant making wooden I beams. Knife laws are fairly flexible up here so long as your reason for your carry isn't self defence or concealed. Thanks for the comment!

Sweet looking knife. I wish I could carry a knife like that as my primary EDC. But, I'm afraid that our local gendarmes might interpret that as an open invitation to thrust me up against a wall and, well, lets just say, it could get ugly...real ugly! Especially if both edges on the blade were sharpened. Did you ever encounter any over zealous RC Mounties that wanted to hassle you when you were EDC'ing this dagger? And, inquiring minds need to know, are both edges sharpened?

Cheers, my friend!

My Linder Solingen Dagger that was my EDC for close to 10 years. Used it for everything.
