Mike- Your beautiful MOP and abalone gentleman's knife (fob knife) tang stamp actually reads Rosenbaum / Mogal / New York with made in Germany on the obverse side.Rosenbaum and Mogal (circa 1917-1924) were importers and wholesalers of knives, razors, and shears. They imported knives from Germany, Italy, and Japan. This firm was set up at 374 Hudson Ave., Brooklynn NY. In 1920, they moved to 91 Bowery, New York City. Isaac Rosenbaum and Mitchell Mogal were partners, using the trademark "Romo". In 1924, they separated and each formed their own import business. Mogal retained the trademark "Romo"after the separation and Rosenbaum used the trademark "IROSKEEN" These knives are generally low to medium as to collector value, but I have not seen another fob knife of theirs to compare it to.Your knife has what appears to be very high quality mother of pearl and abalone scales, which I'm sure would add to the value. Rosenbaum and Mogal knives(while they were partners) don't come up for sale very often.
