The knife is held in the sheath by a catch that fits into the skeleton cutout on the handle so I couldn't wrap it up all the way. This method works because it starts and ends at the hilt.

Nice! Haven't watched the video yet, but it looks like the core strands have been removed -- which seems to work out better for paracord wraps -- not the least of which is the accounting for sheath fit... That looks awesome. I've got a couple knives to wrap, I could use a good tutorial for help. Thanks for the link, JJ!
