Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Part of the reason that knife collecting is so much fun is that the major production knife companies will sometimes produce particularly compelling versions of the their more popular models. The knife shown in this photo is a good example of what I'm talking about; the Kershaw Blur. This particular version features an interesting brown-colored set of aluminum handle scales. These contrast nicely with the black TracTec inserts. That, however, is not what makes this particular model exciting. The extra coolness of this knife is mostly in the blade steel. Take a good look at the photo. Yep...this is one of Kershaw's composite blades. Notice that the two different steels are detailed with a very nice copper-colored "composite' line! The core steel on this knife is ZDP-189...which I've found to be a very tough, very durable steel. The remainder is Sandvik...which, in it's own right, is a very acceptable steel. Both have been treated with a very nice stonewashed finish! Very, very cool! And collectible.
