I have to admit that I wasn't overly fond of Kershaw's 2010 new product release. For me, most of the designs just didn't ring my bell. The one exception is a strong one; the Rake.
As a medium-sized folder, it can handle EDC or tactical with equal ability. The blade is a combination of CMP D2 and a Sandvik (I think...though I could be wrong), with a bead blast finish. The texturing on the black G10 is "perfect"! The ergonomics of the knife are very good; deployment is accomplished either via the flipper or the thumbstud (the knife is an assisted opener). The blade shape is pretty much ideal. The handle could be a little longer...but it feels very nice in the hand. Kershaw might have missed the mark with some of the other "new" products, but the Rake is a home run!
