These are a set of Incredibly Beautiful Marsan masur burch burl scales I have in my collection.. See, Im a collector of sorts, I collect BURL! I have been searching the globe (via the internet) For years in search of the finest and rarest and most beautiful burl woods on the planet! !! This set is just one example of the LARGE stash of woods I have collected over the years.. They will make a show stoping knife indeed. Put it this way, I could add these scales to a rusty, old, bent, lawn mower blade and it would still be HOT!!!

The only other way to describe these are HOLY CRAP!
Burl is the part of a tree that is the NARLIEST wildest and most unpredictable wood grains and figure! Its represents less the 1% of all the wood harvested for use of any kind. When I say some of these woods are rare.. I mean it!
I spend many hours daily searching and scouring the globe! in search of the most beautiful woods in the world! Its a Passion and a addiction.

Many of the woods I use are not only one of a kind. but not AVALIBLE anywhere else at any price!!
The process of taking a raw piece of burl wood and making it into a usable stablized beautiful functional knife handle is a 6 year labor of love! of drying and cutting and redrying and then soaking! yep re wetting the wood then well. Its a long PROCESS! The results are worth the efforts!

If You are considering getting a custom Knife made.. Give me a shout. I have a rather large variety of the worlds FINEST! I do mean The BEST OF THE BEST! Burl in stock and ready for that new custom knife!

Hi,
Those are really beautiful. I am a beginning knife maker. I dont have alot of time at this point in my life cause I am raising 3 kids alone and work 2 jobs. But, I do and will get some done. I love burl wood. Can you tell me, how do I find burl. I always see trees being trashed and think...." what can I grab and make something out of" ALso, do you know the work of Scott Slobodian? He makes Japanese style swords and also makes burl bowls and finds amazing burl too ( but I think you have him beat ....) you might enjoy looking at his work. Have a great day.
