Peugeot is one of the most iconic French brands, and not just for cars. They are also a respected brand making knives, spice and pepper grinders, and a host of other high-end culinary tools.
Often mistakenly called an Ulu, this is actually a Mezzaluna - a two-handled knife used for chopping, particularly herbs and vegetables. It gets its name, meaning "half-moon" in Italian, from its shape. The rocking motion of the knife allows for efficient and even mincing.
