My buddies, Max and Jake. Max on the left is a Rottie/GSD mix, Jake is a Malinois/GSD mix. I rescued them both from my county's Animal Shelter...they are loyal and devoted, and do a real good job as watchdogs out here where I live in the country. Good boys!

Thanks Steve. My father liked to have shepherd mixes around the homeplace, he always said that they bring the best of both breeds with them, and I do believe that he was right. Max is comical sometimes...he locks himself in different rooms from time to time. Yep. My place was built in 1895 and some of the interior doors will swing shut real easy, he'll go snooping around and brush the door with his tail or something...he's stuck. So then he stands up and tries to turn the knob with his front paws - I've seen him do it - and hits the lock button and...he's AWOL. Jake will come and get me and bring me to the crime scene, Max grins and leers at me through the key way while I'm pulling the lock to get him out. Those two are a real hoot!
They're dandies, T.A. We've got a pretty major thunderstorm going on that blew in from the West...they're just looking out the window at the lightning like it was a fireworks show. They ain't skeered...
cool photo - and even cooler dogs..... I love'em.
