Michael, I got so engrossed in your Sport Champ research, I forgot the L.F. & C. ( Landers, Frary & Clark) Pending a close up of the tang stamps, etc., very likely 1890's or there abouts- The crossguard  was   a thin,straight one originally. Most online knife supply catalogs have nickle silver, and most have pre-made guards if they fit your specs. Shoot me a PM if you need specific Co.s I have used in the past or would reccomend or need a pic of your knife with a crossguard for reference.

Anyone know where I can get some nickle silver to make a crosshuard for the LF&C bowie ?

Thanks Jan, The two on the right were a package deal both need a small repair. The one on the left, Sport Champ, was a great deal. I picked it up to look at and the dealer dropped the price so low I couldnt refuse, I didnt even ask. The knife in the middle just needs a crossgaurd, dont know how it could break off but that made it alot cheaper.
