The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Here is a Carlo Cavedon Sfilato that I just received. Originally, it had just plain brushed titanium scales with the giraffe bone inlays. I had Carlo add the engraving and anodize the scales gold. The Sfilato had early origins in Sicily, however, it became more associated with Frosolone after it began to be produced there on a large scale towards the end of the 19th century. It was its Sicilian connection that interested me, since my wife’s mother and her family immigrated here from Sicily. Blade is N690 and measures 3.25".

i love that knife i showed it to my wife and she even like and she ant crazy about knives where could i get one like that,
I have 4 of Carlo's knives now ... love them all. Keep in mind, his knives don't come cheap ... especially with currency exchange rates and fees. You can contact him via his Instagram page @cavedonc or via his email via the link at the bottom of his web site (contatti):

Well, I dunno about that Paul. I'd say it is still hit or miss. While the photos of the Sfilato were not quite a miss ... I wouldn't consider them a hit, either! Getting the engraving, the gifaffe bone, the anodizing and the blade's plunge line all to come out the way I wanted was quite a challenge for me. Lighting is always my foe. Oh well. Pass the wine!!!
Your photography has improved over the years. The mix of knives seems more international. You could lean back and play your collection with a slide show and some wine and music.
Thanks Jan ... very happy with the way it came out. I have a hard time visualizing how things will look. Had to do a number of mock-ups with the original scales and then changing the color of the scales and adding some engraving in the positions I wanted to try to imagine how it might look. Carlo "dun" good! By the way, he is a fantastic maker to deal with ( https://www.instagram.com/cavedonc/ )
Incredibly Beautiful!
