This is an old brass bladed knife of some sort. A co-worker found it in his barn. He was wondering if anyone might know what it is.

We both looked at it and were thinking hoof pick.

Good friend Jeremy, this is not a knife, but a kind of spatule to decorate mud vessels. It is common here in Brazil and is made of brass in order to do not rust.

Had thought of a marking knife, but the blades are curved and ground on both sides.

Almost looks like an oyster knife, but the brass would be too soft, for that.
If your co-worker knows what the barn was used for, in the past, maybe he could figure out what it was used for.
