I recently made this dagger from a recycled Swiss bayonet blade. I made the guard and pommel from nickel silver stock and the handle from an exotic hardwood the species of which I've already forgotten. Got it at the local Rockler store. I also made the sheath from the original bayonet sheath and dressed it up with feaux alligator hide and some nickel silver fittings.
