Sandvik 12C27. Unusual edge grind that appears on some of their other knives as well (including the 2000). Incredible handle, just like the Bushcraft Black. I've had several knives that cut me, but this is the only knife that has stabbed me. In the knee, while I was making feather sticks for the fire. It bled, a lot. Hardly the knife's fault, it was doing it's work without issue, I just failed to have an appreciation for how weak I was making the feather stick by shaving it down, it snapped, & the knife followed the natural arc right into my leg. It hurt a lot less than I would have expected. Did I mention there was a lot of blood? Because there was. Blood. A lot of it.

It sounds like the knife did what it was designed to do very well though it doesn't sound like it was very pleasant for you!
