Folks .. thanks for the positive comments.

.

I believe many of us are parents. SO00ooo , you will understand how genuinely special this knife is for me.

&

How wonderfully proud I am of my daughter  .. for taking time out from a vacation with friends .. to specifically address a request from & for her father .. me.

.

Kees .. yes .. she stated the cutlery shop was not prepared for / was surprised by a customer that produced a list of acceptable knife models. i.e. I had sent along a few suggestions .. thanks to responses from this discussion.
.
I received the knife just a day after "Father's Day" .. with a card stating "how lucky she was to have me as a father" .. and additional very sweet comments.
.
This knife is now very special for me.

.

!!! .. Thank you all for the positive comments .. !!!

I obsessed over the Scorpion for months until I found a used one on eBay.  The photos didn't show it but the tip was quite bent, most likely from throwing.  I was able to grind it out & the seller (not a knife person) didn't examine the knife well enough to notice, but was really good about refunding a portion of the purchase price.

I was glad to have made the acquisition, but thanks to this post I remembered that I was planning to sell it!

Its a wonder that we don't see many more Spanish knives in the USA.  This and a few others I have seen are as good as other primary manufacturing countries.

One of my first knives was a Muela. Nothing special, but for me it was a great knife.

Nice gift from a loving daughter!
