thanks l.lantz and Terry, I also love the older patterns also. I have one, a tidioute in bocote handles but i really like this red wine version. I seem to prefer bone slabs over wood on this type of pocket knife. anyways, thankyou again Terry and Lantz.

thankyou Charles and John.  I really like the color, it is darker than I had expected too. Charles I love the acorn shield they use on the GEC stainless. it used to be the tell-tale sign of stainless steel knives by them, I'm not sure if all thier s/s is denoted with this shield still, I think they might be making stainless with other shields now, but, I will check into that.  thanks again fellows !
