I've got plenty Rough Rider knives, but this one is actually my FIRST ROUGH RYDER.Turned out to be my NKD knife because it arrived yesterday.

J.J., Nice One. Reasonable Price for $ure.
I May get one my ownself.
Not wanting to have to retype my comments again, here's what I wrote on the MultiTool forum, earlier today...
Well, it showed up yesterday, and overall I'm loving it. It's not perfect but as a user it looks to be fantastic.
My main issues are the fit and finish.
The scales have a slight gap at the bolsters, not excessive, but more than I expected from Rough Ryder. (I've been buying them for 10 - 15 years.)
No gaps at the liners though.
Also the blade is off center when closed. Centering is not as important as wobble, of which there is none, but there are some that feel that it's an issue.
Walk and talk are great, no complaints there and I love the half stop.
The knife, overall, feels good in the hand. When I first get a new knife I take time to "feel" it. There are no sharp spots along the bolsters or scales, it feels almost as nice as a pocket worn, from CASE, and that should say something.
The blades as well as the bolsters are satin finished, which I absolutely love on this one. Rough Ryder has taken to adding a big "R" to their bolsters, which was thankfully omitted and replaced by a tasteful tripple ring.
Also, the new tang stamp, really fits this knife.
Haven't got to do any whittlin, yet, but looking at the set-up it should be a joy to make some shavings with. It won't replace my CASE Seahorses, as my favorite whittlin knives, but it's definitely going to be entered into my EDC rotation.
My only question now is what lanyard/pull I'm going to add. I'm thinking that the traditional Ettrick pattern calls for a simple leather pull, yet the modern micarta scales call for something more.
Well worth the price, that I paid, from Smokey Mountain Knife Works. $12.99 plus shipping. I've seen 1 vender, on eBay, that has them from sale, so far. I've already got an order for another, from him, to compare them. I should get it in on Monday or Tuesday.
