Northwoods Scagel Very 1st Edition Stag 2 Blade Folder *SUPER RARE*

This is a very special knife. This was the very first knife to carry the Scagel name since his death in the 1960's. Dave Shirley, founder of Northwoods Knives was the first prson to get the rights to use the Scagel name and this was the the first knife he built using the Scagel name. These are very rare and highly sought after.

Thanks Jan, that's  the list I was referring to.

Would be nice if others could post images with descriptions of the knives they have that are on the list.

Thanks again,

C

Chase,

Since Seth is no longer with us I thought I would do just a little research on this one. AAPK lists this

Scagel # 1 – 2-blade folder – Nov 2004
Scagel # 2 – fixed 4 ¼” blade – bird & trout – Feb 2005 – blade reads “2004”
Scagel # 3 – single-blade folder – May 2005
Scagel # 4 – 2-blade folder w/bolster – July 2005 – “Third Series Folder” on box
Scagel # 5 – fixed 4 ¼” blade –Bird & Trout" in the brochure
Scagel # 6 – fixed blade w/folder – March or April 2006 – “Scagel Prototype” in the brochure - folding blade reads "2005"
Scagel # 7 – fixed 4 3/4" blade – July 2006
Scagel # 8 – 1-blade barlow, English jack – Nov 2006 – “Series #8” on box
Scagel # 9 – fixed 6 3/4 “blade – Dec 2006 - on the brochure insert
Scagel #10 – Original Stag Safety Folding Knife, less than 100 – May 2007
Scagel #11 – Stag Folder With no bolsters, less than 200 – Jan 2008

I should also comment that I have on old thread from I believe Blade Forums posted Jan. 26, 2008 where Sunburst listed the Northwoods  Scagels #1 thru #11 with a brief description.  He/she lists the Scagel #1 as a 2-blade folder - Nov 2004 but no description of blade geometry,  lengthe of blade or closed knife and no description of scales.  I would like to get more information regarding these 11 knives for my research and records.  It would be nice to continue this thread with others posting images and more detailed descriptions of the NS's they own or have owned.  I will post images of my Northwoods  Scagels with this info soon.

Cheers

C

Wondering how you know this was the very first production knife made by Northwoods?  Is this labeled #1 or is there paperwork?  Great looking knife, BTW!!
