Some field time with my Ontario Knife Company RD9. There have been some reports of the 5160 steel on the RD9 chipping. I haven't experienced that with my knife. I've used it to chop Vine Maple and Birch...both very, very hard woods. My RD9 didn't have any trouble with these at all. Also, the finish on my blade is really holding up very well!
