C. 1944: Type 30 Japanese bayonet for Type 38/99 Arisaka Rifle; Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho under Nagoya Arsenal supervision.

Classified as a sword-bayonet and considered a "last ditch" produced piece, this is a late WWII example with a plain non-fullered blade; straight quillon, contoured grips fastened with rivets, and a flat-faced rectangular pommel. The edge is also not sharpened.

The scabbard is made of wood painted olive drab, with minimal steel mounts, held together with string.
