After spending some time with my assortment of Ka-Bar neck knives, I think I've found my favorite. Might know that it costs 3 times more than the others. Why? It's the only one made in the US.

Decided to do a simple wrap with typev325 paracord. I decided to use the extra cord and made a short "pull" with a simple skull bead which adds a slight gripping surface.

Should also note that after the handle was wrapped I placed it in boiling water, for 15 seconds, to shrink the cord and tighten it up. Worked like a charm.

I like the van Decenter knife, Dennis.

Doesn't need to be pretty, as long as it's comfortable.  The leather gives those so much character...

Fortunately, I haven't lost my mind ... completely (well, not yet!).

I can barely tie my shoes anymore, my fingers are so bad.  Thank goodness I don't collect knives which would tempt me to try wrapping.  Only two attempts I've made in the past few years are these.  Simple, not pretty, but work for my purposes.

You can't wrap a Seahorse, Dennis.

Sorry, buddy, after your latest acquisition, you're the king.

Nice.  I just wish I had the patience and finger dexterity to do this!!!

DLK, some projects come out better if the cord is pre-shrunk.  Handle wrapping definitely does better if you shrink it after it's applied.

Speaking of weekend projects, picked up a "Paracord Knife" at Walmart, today.  Now I get to experiment with different wraps on a dedicated full size fixed blade.

Awesome advice on shrinking the wrap with boiling water!  Nice looking wrap on that Remora.  And beads are so much better if they're actually functional, like this one.  Thank you for posting this (inspiration for a weekend project)!
