Tim- Cutino Co.Kansas City was in business circa 1922-35.They were a drug and sundry Co. prior to that. They were located at 7th & Wyandotte Street in Kansas City. Cutino was known more as a retailer of knives, rather than a manufacturer. They carried both imported and domestic cutlery products. However, one source suggests they made knives for Wyeth Cutlery Co. of St. Joseph, MO. On January 1,1922, they purchased the entire cutlery inventory of Pape-Thiebes Cutlery Co. of St. Louis, Mo. Most of Pape-Thiebes knives were German imports.  Mr.Cutino used to go on buying trips in Europe, for his imported cutlery.According to Bernard Levine, some of Cutino's knives were made by Challenge Cutlery Co. of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Now it gets really interesting !!.

According to David L. Anthony- Knife World Staff Correspondent - author of 3 knife books, and IKC member-his own research found that the S shield and Stainless Supreme tang stamp were made by Utica Cutlery Co. of Utica NY. I do not know how he determined this-- Next to nothing is known about Stainless Supreme as that is usually the only markings on both blades, along with the S shield !! Yours is the ONLY knife I have found with 2 different tang stamps !! Here is one one David's Stainless Supremes.
