Grooves are on both sides,i used braided thread(red),two needles,and saddle stitching.This is fairly thick and hard  leather,so there is no raising

anyway, i always flatten leather after stitching (with bone "spoon"),it is wet molded so it is more supple to modifying.

Rino, Here are my first questions: On this sheath - do you make groove on the other side of the sheath?

This is a thick thread - looks good. What kind of thread is it? What do you use for stitching? Awl or needle or two needles? When I stitch - I pull the thread and it "sinks" into the leather, but the edges of the sheath are rising up. I do not see that effect on your sheaths - how do you pull the thread?

That's my first questions for now. There will be more
