The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
This is without a doubt one of the nicest knives in my collection. It's a Schatt & Morgan 4 1/2 inch 2 Blade Mountain Man that has been completely decked out by Michael Prater of Painted Pony Customs. This knife was built specifically to a customers specs. The handle materials are gorgeous green malachite, black jett stone, and beautiful black lip mother of pearl all accented with really nice 24kt gold plated hand textured spacers. The nickel silver bolsters have been hand textured with a really nice symetrical pattern. The backsprings have some of the nicest hand done file work I have ever seen. The blades are Schatt & Morgan's "File & Wire Tested" ATS-34 stainless steel that have been nicely file worked to match the backsprings. It is rather rare to see a Painted Pony knife with ATS-34 stainless steel blades. This is an absolutely amazing one of a kind piece of art and I'm very happy and honored to have this knife in my collection!!
