Ever since I bought my SOG Spec Elite I, I've really enjoyed it. Good sized blade...super easy deployment...nice grip and I like SOG's Arc Lock system (very similar to Benchmade's Axis Lock). To be sure, the Spec Elite I is a fairly big folding knife. That said, it is positively dwarfed by the Spec Elite II shown in this photo. The blade is roughly 4 13/16" long. And...I really like the grind lines on the Spec Elite series. While G10 and Carbon Fiber are the resident favorites of the "tactical" knife world...it's worth mentioning that nobody does zytel/FRN better than SOG. Plastic does not equate to low-end. Indeed, SOG's zytel is a high-end plastic and tougher than proverbial nails!

I love the Arc lock, so smooth the blade opens under its own weight.
