Simply put, Benchmade's Presidio design is easily one of my all-time favorites. The combination of the aircraft aluminum handle scales and the 154CM blade steel are just hard to beat. And...of course...the Axis Lock makes this blade deploy like proverbial "greased lightning". I know that there are a number of people that don't like the Tanto blade shape. I find this a little strange. I've used it for many years...and find that it works nearly as well as most clip and drop point designs if you know how to use it. I spent a good portion of my life as a woodworker...so having worked with chisels, perhaps I just understand the design well enough to really make it work for me? Could be. Of course, in a self-defense situation, the Tanto design probably works best. In any event, the no-nonsense Presidio Tanto serves me well.
