Ok...yes, I'm a SOG addict. It's true! Meet yet another member of my family; the SOG Trident. Plenty has been published about this blade...and if you aren't aware of it, you probably don't get out much. Like SOG's Flash and Aegis designs, the Trident is a lightweight, super-fast deploying knife. I happen to have two...one in Tanto with the black Tini finish...and the impressively gleaming fellow in this photo (we call him "Clip"). Like several of SOG's other designs, the Trident is available in a variety of great finishes and colors; Clip is an unassuming fellow and black is never out of style. As much as I like this design, I do have a couple of knocks against it; A) the blade will "wobble" and there is little you can do about it (that said, I haven't had one fail yet)...and B) it would be nice if they would offer this design in VG-10 steel. Don't get me wrong, Aus8A is a decent steel...but I'd like a "better" option in this design.
