Interesting!  Thank you for the honest appraisal.  I have a couple of knives that I use for 'carving' and some others that I use for more of a 'bushcraft' application.  I have a couple of Spyderco knives, but they are smaller folders and I have not really pushed them hard.  The smallest one (Ladybug)has ZPD-189 blade steel.  A little more difficult to sharpen, but I really like the way it holds its edge!

Thanks, Kevin!  And I totally agree -- the price for these knives are exorbitant for FRN handles.  I will say, the Endura is well-engineered and relatively smooth-opening for what I assume are nylon washers. And it feels SOLID in hand.

I will say, & perhaps to add to your trepidation, I snapped the tip on this one while carving some wood -- I was hoping to make this my "woods folder".  If you notice, there's a slightly dropped angle on the spine, just at the tip.  That's where I reground the tip for the repair. 

I expected a lot at this price -- turned out to be too much.  I think it's really more of a city blade anyway.

I would love to find an Endura, but I have not found one that I am willing to pay what they are asking yet.
