STAR - 1970s - 5-1/4" Swinguard Lockback Hunter #3340, brown jigged bone, single blade, nickel silver shield, front tang stamped "STAR HAND CRAFTED", rear tang stamed "3340 440 STAINLESS".

STAR brand was originally out of Knoxville, TN has out of business for many years.  understand they were contracted to produce Parker knives many moons ago.

I know the STAR Handcrafted are made in Japan, do we know who is producing them?
