Alan, I saw one about 10 yrs ago, but yours are the best shape ones I have seen. Thanks for sharing them, Ken
Ken,
I live 7 1/2 hours from there or I would drop by and say hi! :)
Alan, when we lived in western NY, Springville was where we went to the hospital, it was a small agricultural town with a stock yards there also. When I had calves to sell (I was a dairy farmer), I would ship them to Springville. I visited what I thought was the old knife factory on main st, it still makes kitchen ware, (not case of course). But I have since heard that the old Case Cutlery was on a back street, and I cannot place it. Next time I am up there, I will look more closely. It is located in the rolling hills on New York State in beautiful countryside. Not far away are ski slops. Its a neat little town. I like the area. We lived outside of Arcade NY about 20 miles away. Those Springville, Knives are hard to find. I am going to get one sometime if I can find one. Thanks for posting Alan. By the way I am in Katy, TX right now. We'll be going home Monday.
Ken
100 years and going strong!
wow!!! I wish i have one
Ken,
that is an interesting note. I have seen a few but have not been willing until now. I have gotten into MOP in a pretty good way and thought the fish was a nice piece. What is that town like? Pop, major businesses, terrain, is there any sign of the knife manufacturing history around? Thanks for the info.
Alan
I would love to get a Case, Springville, NY - we had 4 Children born in that town.
