I know it looked like primitive bone to me too the back side is stag maybe cut
It was the last one left in GEC inventory so I got it
Will add backside photo

That handle material looks more like primitive bone than burnt stag to me. Don't get me wrong. I think it's a gorgeous knife. It just doesn't look like burnt stag (to me)?
