While the name of the manufacturer is Bidor Parang, it implies that this knife, with the simple designator of "125," implies to those of us with less knowledge of Asian knife styles that this particular knife is a parang. In fact, the blade style is actually a golok. These knives are made in Bidor, Perak, Malaysia. I've cut up many old Christmas trees with this knife. It sharpens up well, & it performs really well, far better than expected to be sure -- it's actually one of my favorite large users. And I scored a great price on it from eBay!
