The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
The knife shown in the photo is my latest TOPS acquisition. It's called "The Wolfhound". It has a nicely recurved clip point made from 154CM steel in a truly satin/bead blast finish. Nice stuff! The handles are black and blue G10, smoothly machined. The knife handle has some very nice red spacers (like on the Tracker series). It also comes with a nifty, nice-smelling leather sheath. There is a couple of "knocks" I have on this design...in spite of the great workmanship (which is pretty much flawless):
#1: The bloody handle is a 2 1/2 finger holder...unless I put my index finger in the choil...then it's decently comfortable...though that isn't an ideal scenario by any means.
#2: There isn't any jimping on the spine of the blade. Given that this is a smaller fixed blade knife, jimping would be a "plus".
That said, I love the blade shape and finish and the black & blue G10 is just incredible.
