There have the Monument... The Lion Monument, or the Lion of Lucerne, is a sculpture in Lucerne, Switzerland, designed by Bertel Thorvaldsen and hewn in around 1820's
John... Right!! Exactly it say all about it..
Beautiful knife, Michelle-- The "Rostnever" stamping on the blade is German for "will never rust" or basically, stainless. I have seen other similar knives with the same "Dying Lion of Lucerne" and Tell images and the Helvetorium Fidel ac Virtuti inscription that were marked--Joseph Feist-Solingen- (Germany)-Circa 1898-1924.) The tang stamp they used was Omega or just the greek omega letter--Not saying your knife was made by them, it is just very coincidental.
