Whale on Antler 2013
Lewis Temple was an African American Blacksmith in Bedford, Mass. in 1848 and designed the harpoon I have pictured here called "Temple's Toggle". His idea increased the number of whales haversted by turning the head of harpoon perpendicular when pulled by ship or whale.
