David,

Jan sent you a picture of a knife I had posted.  I purchased it in the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona in January 2017-this year..  The knife was marked Yellowhorse.   Someone in the gift shop told me that it was made by a Steve Yellowhorse and the register receipt was marked S. Yellowhorse.

I hope to be able to stop at the Yellowhorse compound and purchase a knife around January 2018  after writing or calling to see what is available and what can be arranged.  I live in Maine and my son teaches 6th grade Math and Science in Surprise, Arizona. It is difficult to get out there too often.  I can at that time bring along the knife posted here on iKC.  There were two smaller, less expensive,  and similar knives left at the Heard apparently by the same maker.  It was a disappointment that those three knives were the only ones in the large gift shop -much beautiful jewelry though.  The  Heard tries to get authentic pieces-let me know if you have doubts regarding authenticity.
