The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Case has come out with their tactical folder which is made in China. They have 28 models but when you discount serrated blades, black and silver blades and medium and small you have 9 basic folding knives. To check out these knives go to www.tecx.com to look over all of the models. They are priced from $15.99 to $59.99 USD. Here are some pictures including the Case single bladed, liner lock, thumb stud trapper with a pocket clip. This Case trapper pictured is in my opinion a tactical knife as it meets those standards. The knife is able to be open with one hand, the blade locks open and you can carry it by its pocket clip up high in your pocket for quick access.
What are you opinions and thoughts about the TecX line and the traditional single blade trapper converted to a tactical folder? The group picture shows the following models from top to bottom:
#75688 Inceptra $24.99
#75683 X-ALT $59.99
#75699 Tk-1 $19.99
#75705 Tags-L $17.99
Case 6154LC Item #30024 $94.99 USD

OH!
Jan.....
I have been told Case requires dealers to buy so many of each or a minimum. So I would say those who are Case dealers now are dealers for the TecX.
Clint
Clint,
Have they released a list of dealers yet?
Sue...

Sue,
Says coming soon for me also but click on where it says knives at the right top and it will let you in
thanks clint, must be just a bug with my computer, because it just says "Coming Soon"
I just checked the site and it works for me.
http://www.tecx.com/about/ I went to this site it does have list of knives....but it has "coming soon" on contact/about....or is it just my computer?
Case may have had to do this because of finacial reasons. We don't want Case to go the way of Camillus, Sharde and others. If you don't care for one of these imports just don't buy them. At least they are not hiding the fact that they are made over seas. I'm sure Case has good product control on these knives and they are probably worth their price.
