Darrel Ralph’s incredible custom and mid-tech designs are prized collector’s pieces that are always in extremely high demand.

Darrel Ralph Maxx-Q Radian serrated knife for auction in the December 2011 fundraising auction for the American Knife and Tool InstituteThis knife, features the distinctive styling and function of all Ralph’s knives. The Maxx-Q borrows from his “gunhammer” design, which uses a unique “flipper” shaped like the hammer of an automatic pistol. By itself or in combination with the assisted opening mechanism, the flipper provides quick blade deployment.

The Maxx-Q’s G-10 handle features Ralph’s signature 3-D machining for a comfortable grip and houses its stout liner-lock mechanism. The blade design combines a slightly recurved mid-blade section with a reinforced tip to provide a combination of cutting power and penetration.

A pocket clip configured for right-side, tip-down carry completes the package, making the Maxx-Q one of the most potent tactical knives available.

To bid, simply fill out the form below before 11:59 ET on December 31, 2011. The highest bid received will win the auction and will be notified after the auction closes. All proceeds go directly to AKTI’s legislative work to promote the responsible use of knives throughout the United States.

Thank you to Meyerco for their donation!

"The photos in the previous post are of an old German pruning type knife I just aquired. It surely is interesting, and quite old."
