Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi guys. Here is a local knife artist I discovered today, who happens to be just down the road from me. I was listening to the Dave Congalton radio show today, (same show I was on last week), and Dave had a guy who manages a website featuring local artists where this particular local artist displays his works. Turns out his studio is nearby, and after reading about him I thought I'd share the site with you guys, it has some of his extremely innovative knives displayed. Seems he was raised by a mechanical father like I was, and still uses and treasures his father's hand tools like I do. Here is the site: http://artshopcc.com/vendor/capoprn/  I'm sure you'll see the beauty of this guy's knives right away. Next step for me is to try and hook up with the guy, I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about. I'm sure I'll have to find a way to own one of his unique knives too.

I hope you can make contact with him.  He sounds like a very interesting person.

Hi Charles, I thought so too. The way that they retain certain aspects of their original form is very "artistic" in my opinion, yet they also look very usable and sturdy. I've sent a message to him via that website, so hopefully he will contact me soon. I'd love to post some first-hand photos here.

Cool Jan, thanks. I didn't even know we had a knife maker around here. I'm not trying to plug his stuff or anything, but the fact that he is taking old files & other hand tools, (just like a guy named Buck used to), and turning them into such beautiful, unique & useful knives is just too cool if you ask me. Hopefully I can track him down and get a look at some of them in person. Stay tuned, if I find the guy I'll shout out here.
