Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I was wondering how many knives the majority of collectors on IKC, have purchased this year. Starting with Jan. 1, 2013. I have bought 4 and thats a little more than I usually buy, by this time of year. Oh, by the way, I just ordered another one. Well my birthdays coming up. LOL

Chuck, that is a great way to keep that grandson headed in the right direction. I buy a few knives each year for presents. I had some friends help me with work on my grand daughters cottage. When they were finished, I gave them each a nice knife. Craig, your next knife needs to be a "Fruit of the Loom Brand" LOL  Brad, I love "Vintage" knives but I just don't know their value. So, I back off a purchase often.

15-20. I believe all are of the vintage nature. I have been taking my meds and controlling the urge.

Only 3 for me. Karlee got 3 for winning her tournaments and Kaylin got 1, just because.

No Robert. I don't put a burden on my family to buy knives.....unless not buying new underwear is considered a burden.

I'm afraid to count. I usually keep 2 or 3 a month. I buy more than that but I buy sell and trade with the guys I work with. My wife keeps better track of it than I do. She tends to start squalling if I spend to much.

Chuck

Helping your grandson build his collection is great.  My grandson is only 19 months old so I will have to wait a while, but I definitely plan to get him started.

Well, I missed counting one knife, so my count should be 5. I hope we hear from more members about this subject. I think that the numbers and price don't matter, if you can afford it. I have bought more knives some years and less knives, on the lean years. The enjoyment of one knife, might be worth, the price of ten. I hope every member is able to enjoy the collection of knives in a financial space, that lets us not put a burden on our family.
