Knife makers of the Dutch Knife Exhibition part 4

Folder and fixed blades both today.

First of these is Filip de Leeuw of Deviant Blades who makes some awesome folding knives. His Forté is titanium framelocks. But he's also done a friction folder that got picked up and will be released this summer.

Filip works pretty much with nothing but Premium materials like Mammoth, Carbon Fibre, G-10 etc. And makes for a very nice folding knife. He told me that next year one of his models might get picked up by spyderco as well.

Some pictures:

After Filip comes Jan Dox who makes fair priced but very functional blades. He's also a master of the japanese style crordwrap. He literally wrote the book on it and it can be purchased (on CD) from his table.

Here is a fine example of his cordwrap skills:

And a nice damascus friction folder he's made:

After this we have Filip de Coene who's a very stylish maker. He only brought a couple of friction folders this year. But he makes a very cool minimalist framelock as well.

The last one for today is a maker I hadn't heard of before the show. His name is Willy de Man and he makes very nice looking linerlock folding knives.

The cord wrapping is spectacular!

Fillip does some very nice work.  I do however find myself partial to the goldlip pearl by Willy
