Welcome Home CHATS RETURN September 5, 2019

My oldest son is a security guard and the other day he had to stop someone going through the metal detector when it

went off.  It seems the man had a yellow handled Case 3254 carbon steel trapper.  He informed the man that he couldn't take the knife in with him and did he want to return to his vehicle and put the knife up.  The man told him no you can have it or just throw it in the trash.  So naturally my son brought it home to me.  It had been so long since it had be oiled that the blades acted like the springs were lazy and you could not read the tang stamps.  A little lube and a swipe with a little emory and the snap was back in the blades and the tang could be read.  It is amazing what some people do.

I concur with Jan Carter 100% ! This knife deserved a better owner.

Love it!  And, can relate to it.  Have a friend of a friend who works security at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.  Each year, he literally has a large box filled with knives taken from people who did not want to walk back to their car!  Amazing is an understatement.

It makes me happy that it went to a home that will give it a new life and let it serve it's intended purpose with some pride of ownership
