Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Todays stop was the FL. Knifemakers show , some nice knives!!

As usual a show involving the Gators Cutlery Club was a hit.  The Knifemakers show brings in some real talent and some of the nicest folks you would ever hope to meet.

One of the things I like about this show is that it has something for everyone.  There are the customs, the high dollar customs, the manufactured and even some english beauties.

A knife maker that always make me smile when I see him at a show?  Mr. Russell McNabb.  A man whose knives are created with a love for the tool.  He does his own engraving and all stages of his knives are just that, his.

As a matter of fact the center strip in these knives is from a hunt he made in Africa.  He had the leg bones stabilized and made these for himself and some knives for his family

Is Vaughn Rhea related to Linn Rhea by any chance?

LOL, It was certainly tempting but no darn it, no gator knife.  I do have a custom Gators fishing Rod made for me by some friends

I will puy some more up and have some to spread around the site, wait till you see the mini's. be sure to check the miniature gorup for those.  I want to share with you a fairly new maker that you should be keeping an eye on.  This young man builds a knife with such beauty and grace you cant even imagine.

VAUGHN RHEA Wins Best in show in show with a knife that is so completely balanced that it literally balances on a small strip of metal.  We are talking small, I have seen pins bigger than this.  This is no small knife to be able to acheive this balance on

See the building of this knife on Vaughn's FB page.  Simply amazing
