Great story!  The knife looks like it might be fun to build

When Larry first met Larry Armoruso at Blade show one year, they got to talking about the knives Larry made and how big he could make a pocket knife. Larry was from New York.  He made one and it wasn't as stream line as this one and sent Larry a pic of it and told him...THIS is how we do it in Dixie.  So it got dubbed The Dixie Folder.

Oh, I meant to ask, "what was the joke about"?

My best hunting dog, right now is called "Dixie".  That knife looks like it would be very user friendly.

You call it "Dixie." I call it OUTSTANDING! And it certainly doesn't look like a "joke" to me.

But now, having said all of that, my curiosity has been piqued. Why do you call it "Dixie?"
