Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

You can tell the person by the knife he owns

Don't you just love all the different types of knives folks own? All you have to do is look around our community to see it is like Baskin Robbins Ice Cream flavors.

Each person collects what they like and I think you can tell a lot about the person by the knife he (or she) owns, just like someone's hands tell you a lot about that person.

I won't try to detail all the different personalities and preferences here in our community, but I do find it very interesting. Some knives are very agressive, almost battle ready. Others are pictures of the past, collected by folks who savor yesterday. Still others are refined, almost gentlemanly (sorry ladies, but there is a "Gentleman's Knife" from days gone by) carried by a three-piece suit kinda guy. Then you have fruit knives, or fancy customs knives. Survival knives. Even Swiss Army knives for the always wanting to be ready personality.

We could go on and on, but the point here is- you can tell a lot about the person by the knife they own.

Just for the fun of it, let's try an experiment. I am going to name a person and you tell me what kind of knife he (or she) would own. We can't use anyone who is an iKC member, cause most of us have already shown our hand by loading pics of our knives.

Let's use someone else then. Someone we all will recognize their name. Someone who we either know a lot about or is in the press all the time...... I know! Are you ready? Then here we go-

So, let me ask you, what kind of knife would, say, President Obama own?

I would rather think what kind of knife Clint Eastwood would carry. LOL

I think he could go different ways. I would like to see him carrying a CRKT GlideLock. To me THAT is a gentlemen's knife. Obama seems like a gentleman, and in this nation of blade phobes, he would need a knife that wouldn't scare people, but could get the job done if need be (a small job of course).

he would need a backup blade as well. I could see him carrying a benchmade. I can't put my finger on one kind...but definitely a benchmade...
