Looking for a copy of the article for the Spirit of Steel show naming the Whaler the Best Overall knife 2011-2012. Are you only having the email issue here on IKC?
Hey Ken, Yes I'm definitely going to this year's GEC Rendezvous, so I'll meet you there. It's a seven and a half hour drive from New York, but well worth it!
Thank you for your warm welcome. I am a newbie and for now collect only barlows. For a long while I lurked at other large knife forums and learned the histories of most American manufacturers. I began collecting a few older barlows then bought a few Case knives. Later I bought some Queen made Shatt & Morgan, Robeson, and Cripple Creek barlows. Finally I bought a few GECs. All have natural material scales, all are American made, and none are Damascus nor are any Daddy barlows. Bruce
Looks like you have a nice collection of GEC 's, NF's and Tidioutes. I like the Primitive Bone and Stag Toenails and the Abalone and Pearl Jack's and the knife picks. Don't have any GEC's yet just mostly NF's and a few Tidioutes. I need to post some photos on my page.
Thanks my friend..and hockey is great.... a new 19 yr.old enforcer on the team that really knows how to awaken the team plus he appears to be a leader as well......goooood hockey
Thanks, Ken. I am a relatively recent GEC convert. In a big way. If you check out my photo page, you'll get an idea of my initial exploration into this great knife brand!
Ken,
I did see we are at 79. YAHOO!!! I am still hoping for 100 by year end. We have some good people on here. Wish I had more time to keep it going more but have been travel/work a lot lately. Trying to think of the next conversation to start.
Thanks Ken, I plan on buying a Tidioute, UN-XL-LD and some Ka-Bar knives next weekend in Knoxville. I will post the pics when i get back home. I grew up south of Titusville Pa and have a great intrest in old East Coast knives, dont know much yet but learning every day.
John
Hello Ken, Thank you for the welcome to the group. I have several Great Eastern knives and I am really pleased with their quality and looks. I enjoyed checking out your knives in the photo gallery. And those are some fine looking Northern Pike you and yours have landed. Makes me itchy to pick up the rod and go. All the best
